Just so you know what you are getting yourself into:

My name is Thomas (Tom, Tommi) and I am an addict. (You: Hello Thomas….) I am addicted to work, the internet, linux, certain tv-series (currently Prison Break and Lost) and wasting time.

I live in Kiel (in the very North of Germany) with my girlfriend Elke. We do not have a cat (which I am very sad and she is very happy about). Of course I would have the upper hand in this but the people living downstairs (who are also the landlords) are allergic. So no cat. Very sad. I like cats a lot.

I graduated in October 2006 from the Wirtschaftsakademie in Kiel where I studied Wirtschaftsinformatik (roughly ‘Business IT’). Now I run a small business, PFLEGE•ZEIT [Link] that provides a documentation system for retirement homes (in Germany we have very strict legislation on the documentation of care).

Being a Linux convert (100%, no machine with windows left) I am quite passionate about the subject, which apparently is not unusual. More accurately I use the Ubuntu [Link] distribution (because it rocks). You’ll probably find some posts on this topic here.
